Local businesses from the construction and property industries will be given the chance to  showcase ongoing projects in the region at Exeter Racecourse’s first ever Construction and Property Raceday on March 18, 2019.

Interest in the raceday from the local business sector has been unprecedented with a cross section already signed up to attend, including estate agents, conveyancing solicitors, construction companies, building materials and tool hire companies and architects.

The racecourse’s Hannah Hawkins, who is co-ordinating the event, said: “This type of raceday has already proved popular in other areas of the country, particularly the south east of England, so we thought we would provide an opportunity for Westcountry businesses to be given a similar opportunity and we’ve been delighted with the response.

“It’s a carefully planned day in our stunning River Rooms that over look the racecourse and have a full balcony giving spectacular views. The day should be buzzing with all the new ideas and projects that are happening in the south west, while enabling guests to make valuable new connections. There’s also nothing like a day at the races for creating excitement and conversation.”

The day includes a three course meal, complimentary drinks, and a limited opportunity to have a personalised race name. “This has proved particularly popular with just a couple left,” said Hannah who added, “We’ve been so delighted with the response that we are already pencilling in further dates to enable our Westcountry-based businesses to connect and come racing.”
